Brewers acquire Mequon native Owen Miller from Guardians

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired infielder Owen Miller from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for a player to be named or cash.

To make room on the 40-man roster, catcher Mario Feliciano has been designated for assignment.

Miller, 26, played in 130 games with the Guardians in 2022, batting .243 with six home runs and 51 RBIs.

He made his Major League debut with Cleveland in 2021 and started in 159 games over the past two seasons.

The native of Mequon, WI attended Ozaukee High School and was selected by San Diego in the third round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of Illinois State University.

Miller was traded to Cleveland as part of a nine-player trade on Aug. 31, 2020.
