MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was all-things gluten-free at Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee today, May 18.

The brewing company hosted their fourth annual gluten-free "Maifest" - highlighting their range of gluten-free beer.

Twenty years ago, Lakefront introduced the country's first certified gluten-free beer.

Today's festival had live music, dozens of vendors selling all kinds of gluten-free food and of course plenty of beer.

The festival might be centered around beer but plenty of families enjoyed it too.

"A woman with her daughter who was like five or six years old, she's wearing a little princess outfit and she's like 'honey, you can have anything you want here. You're safe'," said Executive Chef at Lakefront Brewery Kristin Hueneke. "And it just touched my heart that we're providing that for a lot of people that it's uneasy to go out to eat and not know if they're taking the proper precautions."

If you couldn't make it to this weekend's festival, Lakefront's Curd Wagon food truck is open on weekends will have gluten-free options all summer long.
