Children’s Wisconsin and UW Health Kids announce pediatric heart care collaboration

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Children’s Wisconsin and UW Health Kids have formed a joint venture, Forward Pediatric Alliance, with the goal being to enhance congenital heart care for pediatric and adult patients.
Officials announced the partnership in a Wednesday, Dec. 4 press release, saying that Forward Pediatric Alliance aims to expand access, improve outcomes and advance research and training.
The alliance will integrate services over a 10-year agreement, with full implementation expected within three years. No immediate changes to provider relationships or clinic names are anticipated.
Officials emphasized the collaboration will build on existing strengths to deliver high-quality care to patients with congenital heart disease.
