Council approves Milwaukee's first hostel

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee is about to get its first hostel.

The council voted unanimously Tuesday to sell the vacant Milwaukee Public School building at Holton and Center to a company that plans to turn it into a 53-bed hostel.

A statement from alderwoman Milele Coggs says a hostel would be a neighborhood hub at the crossroads of Harambee and Riverwest.
