MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley is touting accomplishments and encouraging more partnerships moving forward. He delivered his 2025 State of the County address on Wednesday, March 26.

Crowley says he's feeling optimistic about where the county is headed, while also pointing to the work that still needs to be done.

The address was held at the Marcus Performing Arts Center to a packed room.

From the airport to the zoo, Crowley highlighted the county's plans and commitments ahead. He spoke about economic development, investments in county parks, affordable housing, health and human services, and public safety.

Crowley also called attention to the impact of cuts coming from the federal level amid the new Trump administration.

"I don't believe that baseless firing employees at Zablocki does any good for the health and well-being of Milwaukee County veterans and their families," Crowley said.

After his speech, he spoke more about it.

"Milwaukee County, we're just a fly compared to the federal government, but it doesn't mean we can't work with our congressional members, our senators and build a coalition across this state to deliver for Milwaukee County, our region and the state of Wisconsin," he said.

Crowley credits partnerships and collaboration to the county's success and says that's the key to achieving future goals as well.
