Discovery World announces staff, salary reductions due to COVID-19
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Discovery World announced staff reductions Monday, June 22, affecting 55 employees across multiple departments due to financial impacts of COVID-19 and "in order to maintain museum operations."
According to a news release, members of Discovery World's leadership team have also taken salary reductions.
Members of management will experience reduced compensation ranging from 3-percent to 10-percent, depending on salary grades.
“This has been an extremely challenging decision and one that that was made in order to sustain Discovery World’s future in these uncertain times,” said Bryan Wunar, Discovery World President & CEO. “I am beyond thankful for the contributions each these individuals has made to Discovery World and their service to our mission.”
