Early Morning Fire Damages Unoccupied Home

The cause of an early morning fire in a vacant home on Milwaukee’s north side is unknown at this hour.  The fire in the unoccupied two story building was discovered around 3:30 AM.   The Milwaukee Fire Department was on scene for about a hour extinguishing the fire on both the first and second floors of the building.  Damage to the vacant home at N 25th and W Townsend Streets is estimated at  45-thousand-dollars to the building and its contents.   The cause of the fire is under investigation.
