Everything you need to know about the July 3 Milwaukee Lakefront Firework festivities!
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lakefront Fireworks are set to return on Monday, July 3 at Veterans Park. This 30-minute display begins at 9:30 p.m. with other festivities taking place throughout the day.
Activities
Join the fun from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. for the Fireworks Kite Festival. Watch giant kites fill the sky and even try a free lesson. Don’t have a kite? No problem! Attendees are allowed to bring their own, but one can be purchased at the event as well.
Beverages
Staff will be on site pouring beer starting at 11:00 a.m. and going until the fireworks start. The various beers poured are from local breweries and are available for purchase at locations throughout the grounds. All proceeds from beer sales will go directly to funding future Milwaukee County Parks project.
Parking
Parking is available starting at 6:00 a.m. and can be accessed from Lincoln Memorial Drive. There is no overnight parking allowed and no re-entry upon vehicle exit. Parking is cash only with cars costing $25, cars with a trailer $50, RVs $75, and RVs with a trailer $100.
But the parks system can’t do this alone. They’re asking for YOUR help with cleanup. Be sure to pick up all your trash and dispose of it properly. Clean-up volunteers are also needed on July 4 and 5 with times to vary depending on the park location.
