Expect delays if you’re traveling to Green Bay for Packers Training Camp
GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation northeast region is reminding motorists heading to Packer Training Camp that construction and increased traffic will impact your drive to Green Bay.
The DOT encourages those traveling to training camp to pre-plan their trip. Other tips include using alternate routes, adjusting your leave to ensure you reach the destination on time, and following the traveler information on the message boards.
In addition to the construction in the area, those using the I-41 corridor will also encounter delays as they approach Oshkosh due to the EAA AirVenture. Once again drivers should plan ahead as you head north.
I-41, WIS 172 and I-43 could experience backups near Ray Nitschke Field, as could the I-41 interchanges at Lombardi Avenue, Oneida St., WIS 172 and I-43. Orange barrels and narrow lanes will affect travel. Ashland Avenue through De Pere and Ashwaubenon will also experience increased traffic congestion as additional motorists use this as another option when traveling to Green Bay.
