MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police say a 33-year-old woman was fatally shot early Monday morning, October 7.
The shooting happened near 19th and Hayes around 3:08 a.m.
Neighbors say they heard as many as seven gunshots followed by tires screeching as a car sped off.
"It was surprising, shocking. It's crazy to get up in the morning and take the kids to school and you encounter a dead body and all these officers in the back. So, it's kind of scary you know," said Benjamin Jordan, heard gunshots.
Milwaukee police are still looking for the suspect or suspects. They're also working to figure out why the woman was targeted.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner confirms it has been called to the scene for a fatal shooting early Monday morning.
According to Milwaukee Police, the call came in around 3 a.m. for reports of a shooting near S.19th St. and W. Kerney Pl.
Police are currently investigating the scene.
