MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For the second year in a row, Festa will take place on the Italian Community Center grounds. This year, they've expanded the footprint to fit more people and more Italian fun.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. There are daily specials, including free admission on Friday for military persons, health care workers and educators.

You'll find all of the Festa favorites including freshly made cannolis, bocce ball, Italian sausage and arancini.

And the return of friendly competitions, like Saturday's red sauce finalists, a cannoli-eating contest and pizza-making for kids.

"Those finalists will be here on Saturday and that's going to be nice. They bring three-quart crockpots and the people here, the attendees will be able to sample that sauce and vote on it," said Marie Lieber, the Cucina manager at Festa.
