Former President Trump to visit La Crosse, Vance to campaign in De Pere in coming days

LA CROSSE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The race for the White House will soon return to Wisconsin.

Republican nominee former President Donald Trump will hold a town hall event in La Crosse on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m.

According to the Trump campaign, the former president is expected to focus on economic policy.

The other half of the Republican ticket will be in Wisconsin the day before. Vice presidential nominee Senator JD Vance will be in De Pere on Wednesday, Aug. 28. 

He's set to speak on the economy, inflation and energy at the campaign stop. 

Doors open at 3:30, with Vance giving his remarks at 6:30 p.m.
