Free Brewers tickets up for grabs when you mobile donate to UPAF
For the first time, The United Performing Arts Fund is introducing mobile pledging at its annual Ride for the Arts sponsored by Miller Lite.
It's a simple two-step process:
Text “UPAF” to 52182 Once you receive the automated response, simply text the word “GIVE” followed by the dollar amount you wish to donate. For example, “GIVE 20”.
With a minimum $10 donation you will be entered to win some incredible prizes, including Colectivo gift cards, Brewers tickets, a Fitbit and more!
The offer is good now provided to pay your pledge by June 3rd.
CBS 58 News is a media sponsor for the ride.
On Friday during the CBS 58 News at 4:30 p.m. we profiled some top fundraiser Mike Fordney.
\"For me, it's about education. A lot of UPAF funded organizations are about training children. The Milwaukee Symphony first stage theater, it's about the kids,\" Fordney told CBS 58 News.
Marge Fornear has been riding for more than a decade. She says there's no better way to see the city and give back at the same time. \"You just feel like a kid again the first time you get back on a bike as an adult,\" she explained. \"It's so much fun. There's little kids out, and if they can do it, why can't you.\"
It's that kind of enthusiasm that's inspired first time rider Zac Wolff. \"I've never been on a bike ride for 25 miles, but I was told I'd be foolish to go anything shorter.\"Remember it's a ride not a race with routes from 5 to 66 miles.
It will be sunny on Sunday with light winds and cool in the 50's.
No matter what the weather, the event never disappoints and makes participants feel good about themselves and the place we call home.
