Generac holding job fairs, looking to fill over 125 positions

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A southeastern Wisconsin manufacturer is looking to fill more than 125 positions.

Generac says there's an increase in demand for generators, in part because of recent hurricanes.

That's why it's holding a job fair from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at its plant in Whitewater (757 N. Newcomb Street)

Positions include material handling and entry-level assembly. There are part-time and full-time positions available.

For those looking for positions in engineering, sales, product management, supply chain and customer support, Generac is hosting an open-interview event on Thursday, October 12. Applicants can visit the company’s headquarters located at S45 W29290 Hwy. 59 in Waukesha between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and apply for one of about 50 available positions.

Those unable to attend either hiring event can always take advantage of Generac’s Walk-in Wednesdays program, which encourages applicants to visit any Generac facility in Wisconsin — the Waukesha headquarters, Eagle, Whitewater, Jefferson, Berlin and Oshkosh — to apply and be interviewed for open positions. Walk-in Wednesdays take place every Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
