Antetokounmpo, Middleton each pledge $100K to Fiserv Forum staff, Bucks organization will match donations
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Bucks MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has pledged to donate $100,000 to Fiserv Forum staff amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The donation comes after the NBA's decision to suspend the rest of its season on Wednesday, after a Utah Jazz player tested positive for the virus.
Giannis made the announcement in a tweet Friday, March 13, noting that he wants to help the people that have made his life and the lives of his teammates easier.
It’s bigger than basketball! And during this tough time I want to help the people that make my life, my family’s lives and my teammates lives easier. Me and my family pledge to donate $100,000 to the Fiserv Forum staff. We can get through this together! ??
