Girls charged in "Slenderman" stabbing case could be moved to juvenile court

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Two 12-year-old girls charged with stabbing their classmate more than a dozen times return to court Wednesday.

Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier of Waukesha are charged with first-degree attempted homicide and are accused of luring another young girl into a wooded area and stabbing her 19 times before leaving her for dead.

Investigators say the attack was loosely based on the fictional story of \"Slenderman\", an online character the suspects were trying to impress.

Wednesday's review hearing at the Waukesha County Courthouse could determine if the girls stay in adult court or move to juvenile court.

The victim continues to recover from her injuries and donors have given nearly $50,000 towards her medical bills and care.
