Glendale police arrest two teens, ages 13 and 14, after stolen car chase, crash
GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 14-year-old and 13-year-old were arrested following a stolen car chase and crash in Glendale on Wednesday, Aug. 18.
According to Glendale police, the incident happened around 7:35 a.m. near Green Bay and Florist. Officers responded to the area and observed the suspect vehicle facing northbound near Lupient Kia, a Kia dealership in Glendale.
The vehicle immediately fled at a high rate of speed and Glendale police pursued. The pursuit went southbound on Green Bay. Police say stop sticks were successfully deployed, deflating two of the vehicle's tires.
The pursuit ultimately ended when the suspect vehicle lost control and crashed near the intersection of Green Bay and Capital.
Police arrested the sole occupant of the vehicle, a 14-year-old boy, at the scene of the crash. A 13-year-old boy was arrested in the lot of the dealership.
The driver of the fleeing vehicle sustained minor injuries to this face. He was transported to a local hospital and released.
Police later determined that the fleeing vehicle was also stolen from a dealership on a previous date.
