GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Green Bay Packers will celebrate the team’s 100th anniversary throughout the 2018-2019 season.
According to team officials, it will be a 16-month long celebration of the Packers’ history called "100 Seasons". The franchise’s 100th birthday is August 11, 2019.
Some of the celebrations will include attractions like a traveling interactive exhibit about Lambeau Field. The exhibit will travel around the state beginning in June and will stop at Summerfest and the Wisconsin State Fair, among other locations.
Later in the summer, fans will be invited to Lambeau Field for “the Packers Experience”, a four-day, free festival for fans of all ages. There will be live music, a replica team locker room and football clinics. The festival will begin July 26 and continue through July 29.
Several other events are planned for fans throughout the next year leading up to August 11, 2019. A 10-part documentary series dedicated to the team’s history will be released and a “100 Seasons” book will be published in 2019.
More information on the celebrations can be found on the team's website.
