Harbor Fest 2023 to celebrate Milwaukee maritime culture
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Harbor District is preparing for Harbor Fest 2023, an event highlighting the city's maritime heritage and waterways.
The festival is a joint effort between Milwaukee Harbor District, Milwaukee Riverkeeper and Riveredge Nature Center and will take place on Sunday, Sept. 24.
SturgeonFest will feature a Sturgeon Blessing at noon and a release from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. A parade of nine unique art installation floats will start at 12:30 p.m., traveling approximately 2.58 nautical miles along the Milwaukee River.
The event, taking place on the 600 block of East Greenfield Ave and along Milwaukee Inner Harbor and rivers, will also offer musical performances, food and drinks from local vendors and a range of children's activities.
