MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- At Wednesday's Brewers/Cubs game, a family was recognized during a segment called hero of the game. They were, however, caught off guard by a special surprise.
"Colonel Morrison has missed Trey's last three birthdays but today we have a special surprise, returning just this morning and reuniting with his family for the first time in nearly a year, please welcome Colonel Jay Morrison."
The family of Colonel Morrison had no idea that the surprise was coming, His wife Rachel and two sons, Trey and Luke, waved to the camera as the announcer revealed that it was Trey's 12th birthday.
Jay was deployed a little over a year ago.
