Hit-and-run accident leaves woman seriously injured near 42nd and Derby

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are currently investigating a car vs. pedestrian accident that happened over the weekend.

Police were called to the area of 42nd and Derby around 2:55 p.m. on Saturday for a report of a woman who was hit by a car.

According to police, the woman was attempting to cross the street when a car hit her. That car then fled the scene.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Milwaukee Police continue to search for suspects.
