Home Prices in Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis Increase Year Over Year

HOMES ACROSS MILWAUKEE-WAUKESHA-WEST ALLIS ARE GAINING VALUE. THIS - ACCORDING TO NEW DATA RELEASED TODAY BY CORELOGIC.

THE DATA SHOWS HOME PRICES IN MILWAUKEE-WAUKESHA-WEST ALLIS ROSE BY 3.8 PERCENT IN JULY OF THIS YEAR COMPARED WITH THIS SAME TIME LAST YEAR.  ON A MONTH-OVER-MONTH BASIS, HOME PRICES INCREASED BY 0.7 PERCENT IN JULY 2015 COMPARED WITH JUNE 2015.

CORELOGIC REPORTS THAT NATIONAL HOME PRICES INCREASED BY 6.9 PERCENT IN JULY 2015 COMPARED WITH JULY 2014. ON A MONTH-OVER-MONTH BASIS, NATIONAL HOME PRICES INCREASED BY 1.7 PERCENT FROM JUNE TO JULY 2015.

THE CORELOGIC HPI FORECAST INDICATES THAT FROM JULY 2015 TO AUGUST 2015, HOME PRICES ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE BY 0.5 PERCENT. THE FORECAST ALSO PROJECTS THAT HOME PRICES WILL RISE BY 4.7 PERCENT FROM JULY 2015 TO JULY 2016.

CORELOGIC ECONOMISTS SAY HOME PRICE APPRECIATION HAS NOT AFFECTED HOME SALES, WHICH ARE UP IN JULY DUE TO LOW MORTGAGE RATES AND STRONGER CONSUMER CONFIDENCE. HOME PRICES HAVE ALSO INCREASED BECAUSE OF IMPROVEMENTS IN THE LABOR MARKET.
