Long-term closure starts Thursday morning along Hwy 100

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --Work initially began April 11th on the rehabilitation of the WIS 100 bridges over the Hank Aaron State Trail.

By Thursday morning, April 26th, a traffic switch will be in place along WIS 100.  The outside lane both northbound and southbound on WIS 100 will close from just north of Theo Trecker Way to I-94.   When that switch occurs, the I-94 eastbound exit ramp right turn to WIS 100 southbound will close long-term (the left turn to WIS 100 northbound will remain open).

Drivers will want to detour and exit I-94 eastbound at Moorland Road and take Moorland Road to Greenfield Avenue to WIS 100 to get around this closure.

As with most changes be sure to plan on extra time if you use these routes for either of your commutes. Be sure to follow @ABrovelli and watch the CBS 58 Morning News for the latest on the Zoo Interchange Project and other construction projects throughout southeastern WI.

The bridge rehabilitation is scheduled to be complete in late August.
