Judge puts hold on mental examination for Waukesha stabbing suspect

WAUKESHA -- A Waukesha County judge has stayed his ruling to have 12-year-old Morgan Geyser, a girl accused of trying to stab a classmate, subjected to a psychiatric exam. The 12-year-old stabbing suspect has already been found not competent to stand trial.

The pyschiatric examination could be used to help use the insanity defense. Defense attorneys representing Morgan Geyser filed a motion to have the judge stay the mental examination.
