MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Tuesday, April 20 is Weather Day at American Family Field. Kids and families filled the stands at the field to see the CBS 58 weather team show off the fun side of science.
First pitch was at 12:40 p.m., but there were bangs and explosions on the field before it started.
"Do you guys want to see Craig Counsell?" CBS 58's Drew Burgoyne asked as the crowd cheered.
It was cloudy with a visit from the Brewers' manager as the weather team mixed concoctions that created their own cumulonimbus clouds.

Precipitation, force, and moisture are usually words the students read in their science text books, but on Weather Day, those words became fun experiments.
Elephant toothpaste seemed to be a favorite among the kids. Hydrogen peroxide was mixed with other household items to create mounds of foam.
As home plate was turned into the CBS 58 Weather Center for a day, kids took away that they actually do like science.
"How the weather can change and the experiments that you get to do," said Josiah.
After the on-field experiments, they were able to take a turn at the green screen among other events at the science fair on the American Family Field concourse.
