Lake Mills Area School District evacuates students after bomb threat

LAKE MILLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- School will be in session Thursday, Jan. 30 after a bomb threat received by the Lake Mills School District Wednesday. 

After students were evacuated, all of the school buildings were searched, investigated and locked up for the evening.

According to the district administrator, support will be in place to assure students that the school is safe, and Lake Mills police will be on site Thursday.

LAKE MILLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Lake Mills Area School District students were evacuated on Wednesday, Jan. 29 after receiving a concerning phone call involving a vague threat. 

According to the Lake Mills Area School District, the threatening call came in around 11:19 a.m., and students were immediately taken to offsite locations. 

The school district is working with police and other local agencies. 

Officials ask parents and guardians to not contact students to help maintain the communication lines.
