Lakeshore Technical College to host event in Sheboygan for potential first-generation students

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Lakeshore Technical College will open its doors to potential first-generation students at an informative event slated for the Sheboygan campus on Monday, Nov. 6 from noon until 1 p.m.

First-generation students are defined as individuals aiming to become the first in their family to achieve a college degree, often facing unique challenges in navigating the higher education landscape.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with a panel of current first-generation students at Lakeshore, delving into crucial topics such as articulating educational goals to family members, selecting courses of study, the admissions process, class enrollment and financial planning for college.
