MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin State Parks sticker system might get a makeover. 

This week, lawmakers at the State Capitol introduced a bill to change the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) annual passes. 

Currently, passes cover a full calendar year. 

Under the new proposal if you bought a sticker in June, it would be valid until the following June, not just the remaining six months of the year. 

Lawmakers say this would ensure Wisconsinites and visitors would get their money's worth while enjoying the parks and trails.
