Lou Malnati's serves up free pizza to employees at 4 Ascension campuses this Nurse Appreciation Week

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In honor of Nurse Appreciation Day and Week, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria will serve up free pizza slices to employees at four Ascension campuses this week. 

The pizzeria says their truck will be parked outside the Ascension facilities during meal times Thursday-Saturday to provide a free slice of pizza to as many health care worker employees as possible. 

“Especially after the challenges of the past couple of years, it would be hard to overstate the value of nurses and health care workers to our community,” said owner Marc Malnati. “We’re grateful for the care and dedication provided by Ascension nurses and the dedicated teams who support them, and happy to offer up a slice as a small way to say thanks.”

Lou Malnati's will visit the Ascension SE Wisconsin St. Joseph campus for lunch Thursday, May 5; Ascension SE Wisconsin Elmbrook Hospital for dinner on Thursday, Ascension Franklin/Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital for lunch on Friday and Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Milwaukee for lunch on Saturday.
