Lyft expanding gender pronoun options in app

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lyft has announced new initiatives and product features as a commitment to the Milwaukee LGBTQ+ community ahead of Pride Month.

Lyft is introducing new pronouns in the passenger app. It gives passengers the option to select the following:

• 1. They/Them/Theirs
• 2. She/Her/Hers
• 3. He/Him/His
• 4. My pronoun isn't listed (edited)
• 5. Prefer not to say

Drivers will also be able to see the pronoun that the passenger has selected.

Lyft has also partnered with the National Center for Transgender Equality to provide drivers assistance with changing the name and gender designation on their driver's license.
