RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) – A 23-year-old Colgate man was arrested early Thursday morning for drug possession following a traffic stop.
According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy pulled a car over near State Highway 75 and Church Road around 1:30 a.m. for a defective brake light.
While speaking with the driver, the deputy noticed he made conflicting statements, which made the deputy suspicious.
Once a K-9 unit was brought to the scene, it alerted officers to the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the car found 60.9 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms and 0.4 grams of crystal meth.
The driver was taken to the Racine County Jail where he is being held on charges.
