Man charged after attacking man with crowbar outside Milwaukee restaurant

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A man is facing an aggravated battery charge after going after a person with a crowbar outside of a Milwaukee restaurant.

According to court documents, the incident took place on December 7.

A criminal complaint states Henry Lopez-Hernandez went after the victim outside of a restaurant near 13th and Grant. It happened after the two had met up outside the restaurant earlier in the day and Lopez-Hernandez became upset with the victim. Authorities say Lopez-Hernandez returned and hit the victim with the crowbar in the arm and elbow.

The victim then ran to a nearby laundromat and Lopez-Hernandez followed. Customers inside the laundromat were able to convince Lopez-Hernandez to leave.

The victim is expected to be okay.

Lopez-Hernandez faces 15 years in prison.
