MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Filling nursing positions has become a priority among many medical centers in Wisconsin.
Now, two leading local nursing colleges are pooling their resources. Milwaukee Area Technical College and Cardinal Stritch University have signed an agreement letting nursing students enroll in MATC’s Associate Nursing Program and Stritch’s Bachelor of Science Nursing Program at the same time.
“An ability to work together, two organizations with two different levels of expertise, is critical to closing the gap,” says Anna Greditor with United Health Care.
Using Stritch’s accelerated online program, students can get their BSN in as little as one semester, completing their associate’s degree at MATC and passing their nursing license exam.
