MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) on Tuesday, Dec. 3, accepted six pieces of heating and cooling equipment from the company Rheem.
Students CBS 58 spoke to are happy to know they'll be getting more hands-on experience from MATC's HVAC technician program.
"I've got to be able to know when I walk into a house or I walk into a mechanical room, I've got know how to be able to fix these units. And I'm not going to be able to know how to fix them unless I have the practice," said Lydia Hogsett, HVAC program apprentice.
The equipment, worth more than $200,000, will be used by students to learn more about the industry before going out in the field.
