Mayor Tom Barrett held a press conference Tuesday, after the decision was made for no federal criminal charges in the shooting of Dontre Hamilton.
"Had I lost a son, had I lost a brother I would be angry too," said Mayor Tom Barrett.
Nate Hamilton said in a press conference there would be a gathering outside City Hall on Tuesday.
Barrett said there will be a strong police presence downtown because of the debate.
He said he had not heard Nate Hamilton's comments.
"I certainly hope cooler heads prevail," said Barrett.
