MCSO: Milwaukee County Jail death was due to natural causes

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) announced Friday, Sept. 29, no criminal conduct was committed by MCSO employees related to the in-custody death of Terrance Mack.

Officials say 37-year-old Terrance Mack died March 16 while in custody at the Milwaukee County Jail.

According to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, Mack's death -- while natural -- was caused by hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

A statement says in part, "The MCSO understand the tragedy of unexpected death and the loss of a loved one, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Mack's family.

Per MSCO protocol, an internal review has been opened into the matter to determine whether any agency policies or procedures were violated.
