MCTS Announces Plan to Reimburse Some Passengers Impacted by Strike
The Milwaukee County Transit System announced a plan Tuesday to reimburse passengers who purchased passes good for the days last week when drivers were on strike. According to a release from MCTS, passengers who had active 7-day or 31-day M-CARD during the three-day work stoppage between July 1st and July 3rd are eligible for reimbursement.
Pass holders should call (414) 937-0470 or email [email protected]. MCTS says they will provide three free rides each day the pass was valid during the strike on the effected M-CARDs. Riders with paper passes good between June 28th and July 4th, or a monthly pass for July are being asked to bring them to one of three locations between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, and receive a booklet of ten tickets to use at any time. Those locations are the MCTS Administrative office at 1942 N. 17th Street, the Kinnickinnic bus station at 1718 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., and the Fond du Lac bus station at 3201 W. Fond du Lac Ave.
