MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Greater Milwaukee International Car and Truck Show is giving back to the community once again this year.
Organizers announced all money raised in Friday night's gala will go towards Special Olympics Wisconsin. 2018 is a big year for the Special Olympics. The organization is celebrating 50 years and this summer, the USA games are in Seattle.
"It's really a chance to make an investment in all the great things we do. We run 18 different year-round sports for our athletes and we have athletes going to the US games this summer," Vice President of Development Michael Mortell said.
Ten thousand Wisconsin athletes participate in 18 sports by Special Olympics. This year, the auto show is February 24 – March 3 and the gala is February 23.
The Horse Power and Hats Opening Night Gala gave many a chance to get a preview of the auto show too. There are many events to enjoy at this year's auto show. Vintage race cars and a drag racing simulator will also be on display. The auto show is also bringing back its carpool karaoke station on the second-floor atrium.
The times to sing are listed below:
February 24: 2:30-5:00 p.m.
February 25: 1-3:30 p.m.
March 3: 2-4:30 p.m.
March 4: 1-3:30 p.m.
The Auto Show runs through March 4.
