WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Committee approved a 40-year deal to sell Lake Michigan water to Waukesha.
This lays the groundwork for distributing more water to a larger area than approved by the eight Great Lakes states in June 2016.
The full Common Council is scheduled to vote on the proposal next Tuesday.
If they agree, it will be forwarded to the Waukesha Common Council for final action on December 5.
