Update: Homicide investigation underway near 8th and Greenfield

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police confirm they are investigating a homicide near 8th and Greenfield.

The Medical Examiner confirms they were called out to the scene for a fatal shooting.

Police said the victim is a 25-year-old Milwaukee man.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner confirms that they are on scene of a body found near 8th and Greenfield.

The call came in around 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The Medical Examiner does not yet have a cause of death but they are investigating the death as possibly suspicious.

Milwaukee Police have not yet released details regarding the death.

The Criminal Bureau of Investigation is on scene investigating.
