Milwaukee police investigate double shooting near 61st and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a double non-fatal shooting that happened Monday, Nov. 29, near 61st and Villard.

Police say the shooting occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. Monday.

Authorities report that victim #1, a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, suffered a single gunshot wound injury and later presented himself to a local hospital where he is expected to survive.

Milwaukee police say that victim #2, a 36-year-old Milwaukee man, was located near 42nd and Villard with a single gunshot wound.

Officials report that victim #2 was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.

According to police, the circumstances preceding the shooting appear to be argument-related.

Police say that both victims appear to have shot at each other during the argument.

Both subjects are reportedly in custody and the case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
