Employees told police a suspect came into the store with a knife and demanded money from the register.
The suspect did not take any money from the register but then demanded money from a customer. The customer complied and the suspect took off on foot from the store with the stolen money.
Surveillance video from the store showed the suspect going into a home in the 2900 block of S. 14th Street. Officers located the suspect, a 25-year-old Milwaukee man, inside the home and took him into custody.
Clothing that the suspect wore during the robbery, and that matched the description given by those inside the store, was also found in the home. The suspect is a convicted felon and has a criminal record dating back to 2011.
