MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Playgrounds throughout Milwaukee are bringing the joy of summer to children across the city. 

At Clovernook Playfield, kids put on their water shoes and joined in on the "foam party" for an afternoon of outdoor fun Monday, June 23.

This was one of three foam bubble parties hosted by Milwaukee Recreation. Kids from six to 17 years of age could come to the playfield and just be kids in what looked like an almost never-ending bubble shower.

Foam-launching cannons helped the kids stay cool while putting smiles across their faces. 

If you missed the event Monday, don't worry -- Milwaukee Rec will be hosting three more parties at Burnham, Holt and Whittier parks Tuesday, June 24.
