Milwaukee Repertory Theater to remount Titanic The Musical this fall

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After an outbreak of COVID-19 cases that forced the Milwaukee Rep to cancel the final week of its performances for the musical "Titanic," the theater announced it will remount the show this fall.

The show will be part of the 2022/23 season, and the thousands of people who already had tickets will get to enjoy the performance.

“The decision to cancel this year’s run of Titanic was gut wrenching for our artists and patrons alike. The show garnered unanimous rave reviews from audiences and critics and we heard from many people how disappointed they were when we cancelled,” said Artistic Director Mark Clements. “We are grateful to our staff and artists as their resiliency and commitment to showcase world class work in this turbulent environment remains undeterred.”

According to a news release, winner of five Tony Awards, Titanic The Musical is a stirring and unforgettable account of the first and last days of the ship of dreams. This epic musical features real stories of people aboard the most legendary ship in the world from third-class immigrants dreaming of a better tomorrow to first class passengers living a life of fame and fortune.
