MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Historic Third Ward is embracing the festive spirit with a series of holiday events, and Jordan Dechambre, Marketing Director of the Historic Third Ward Organization, joined us for a preview of what to expect on Monday, Dec. 11.
Through Friday, Dec. 22, Shop the Ward encourages visitors to explore local retailers. Gift card giveaways are happening daily, aimed at promoting local shopping. Meanwhile, the Holiday Marketplace at the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, running through Christmas Eve, features over 50 artists from MARN located at MARN ART + CULTURE HUB.
Salty Paws MKE, on North Jefferson Street, hosts Bark Fridays each week through Dec. 22. This event combines local vendor pop-ups with an opportunity for pet owners to shop with their dogs.
The food and drink scene in the Third Ward is lively with Santa Camp and the Lux Domes. These holiday pop-ups offer a festive atmosphere for attendees.
Theatre fans have a choice of performances. "The Mousetrap," a murder mystery by Agatha Christie, runs at Next Act Theatre until Sunday, Dec. 17. "School of Rock," a family-friendly musical, is showing at Skylight Music Theatre through Saturday, Dec. 30.
