Missing Kenosha County Man Believed to be Found Dead At Lily Lake

TOWN OF WHEATLAND - The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department responded to Lily Lake shoreline yesterday afternoon regarding a death investigation. A local resident had discovered a person deceased in the water along the shoreline and notified authorities.

Kenosha County Deputies and Detectives responded to the scene. Positive identification has not been made yet, but it appears that the deceased individual is 49-year-old Richard Warnke Sr.

Warnke had been listed as missing/endangered earlier in the week after an incident at his residence on 336th Avenue. Kenosha County Sheriff's Deputies had responded to that residence for a domestic dispute.

The investigation continues. Medical examiner reports are pending for positive identification but the family has been notified.
