Body of missing paddleboarder recovered off coast of Port Washington

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The body of a missing paddleboarder was recovered Tuesday, Aug. 8, according to Ozaukee County authorities.
The sheriff's office says a fisherman discovered the woman's body in Lake Michigan around 10:08 a.m. off the coast of Port Washington.
Officials say the body is that of a 49-year-old Muskego resident -- identified as Teresa Stiff -- who went missing at Harrington Beach State Park on Aug. 2.
Autopsy results are pending; however, the sheriff's office says the cause of death appears to be accidental drowning.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The search to find a woman who went missing while paddleboarding off Harrington Beach State Park has transitioned from a rescue to a recovery.
According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, the missing woman's lifejacket was located off the shore of Kohler-Andrae State Park in Sheboygan County. This, after the woman's paddle board was located on the shore in the Town of Holland.
Authorities say search efforts continued Friday, Aug. 4, on Lake Michigan.
The Ozaukee County Emergency Management Rescue Boat, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office
Maritime Unit, Milwaukee Police Department Harbor Patrol, and the Wisconsin DNR assisted with the search.
Officials are requesting homeowners who reside along Lake Michigan between the City of Sheboygan and the City of Port Washington to check their properties and shoreline for signs of the missing subject.

TOWN OF BELGIUM, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities are searching for a woman who was last seen paddleboarding off Harrington Beach State Park.
Officials said Thursday morning, Aug. 3, the paddle board belonging to the missing woman was located on shore in the Town of Holland but the woman remains missing.
Search and rescue efforts remain active.

Officials responded to Harrington Beach State Park in the Town Of Belgium for a report of a missing person around 8:06 p.m. on August 2.
The missing person is described as a 49-year-old white female, approximately 5’ 11”, 140 lbs., wearing a green one-piece swimsuit and black life jacket. The paddle board is white and blue in color.
Search efforts are being conducted with the assistance of the US Coast Guard, Ozaukee County Emergency Management, Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Port Washington Police Department, and the Port Washington Fire Department.
The investigation and search are ongoing and no further information is available.
