MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A KC-135 aircraft owned by the 128th Air Refueling experienced a tire failure upon landing at Mitchell Airport on Friday, May 24 in the evening.
The airport says there were no injuries, but due to the debris caused by the tire failure, the runway is temporarily closed while maintenance crews clean up debris and do maintenance on the aircraft.
The airport says some aircrafts are still landing and departing on an alternate runway; however, passengers should check with their airline for their latest flight status.
