MPD looking for suspect who pistol-whipped victim near North and Garfield

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are looking to track down a suspect involved in a battery causing serious injuries. 

The incident happened Saturday, Dec. 5, around 7:48 p.m., near Holton Street and Garfield Avenue. According to police, the suspect approached the victim armed with a gun, and struck them in the face with it -- causing serious physical injuries. 

Police describe the suspect as a white male, standing 6' tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, a purple and white plaid face covering, light blue jeans and red Jordan shoes. Suspect has a tattoo in the middle of the back of his right hand which looks to be cursive writing.
