MPS ditches early start proposal

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Public Schools has ditched a proposal requiring all elementary, middle, and high schools to follow an early start calendar.
Superintendent Darienne Driver announced the news in a short video on the district's Facebook page.
Driver is now proposing two calendars; a September start for elementary schools and a mid-August start for secondary schools.
